About us & Charles Max Romahn

The villa was built in 1930 by the furrier, Charles Max Romahn (1889-1961).
He lived there with his family and employees. During the GDR era, the property was used as a kindergarten, which many Schkeuditz residents still fondly remember and share their childhood stories with us. Later, it was used as a pharmacy.
We fell in love with this beautiful villa from the very first moment and took it over a few years ago. We live on the ground floor and enjoy every minute on the park-like grounds with its mature trees. That is, when we're not working on new projects around the house, so that we can gradually restore the former glory that Ch. May Romahn once created in this beautiful villa.
In our free time as well as for work, we travel a lot ourselves and are happy to offer the two fully equipped apartments on the upper floor and attic to guests during the periods when we do not need them ourselves or when they are not rented out for longer periods.
